ACTS LAW represented six homeowners in Laguna whose homes and property were severely damaged by a landslide. We alleged causes of action for inverse condemnation, nuisance and dangerous condition of public property. Moulton Niguel Water District failed to properly maintain and replace their aging water lines, which repeatedly leaked, even throughout the litigation. The continuous leaks activated an ancient landslide. We settled the case 45 days before trial for $7.5 million with the assistance of mediator Jerry Kurland.
